Renting a house on the shore of Pryazhinskoe lake is a way to spend your holidays far from civilization, in quiet and peace, and to arrange a fun and healthy leisure. Winter and summer fishing, outdoor activities, tracking, bicycle riding, hunting, snowmobiles, scooters, visiting a husky farm – and that are still not all the activities available in Pryazha cottage! In the surrounding area there are situated multiple examples of ancient Karelian architecture which you can visit by car or on foot.

Into the wild
Strolling around virgin woods near Pryazha is healthy and entertaining at the same time. This forest is home for hares, woodcocks, blackcocks, heath-hens, wood grouses, bears, wolves and other animals. Pryazha region is known for its hunting opportunities, moreover, there is a husky farm not far from the Kudama village. Pay a visit to the farm – it is highly recommended! Ethnographic tourism is a vibrant and developing branch in Pryazha region, “Following the ancient karels” track is especially loved by tourists.

Russian “banya” (bath)
Russian bath, or “banya”, is an ancient Russian pastime, still very popular among Russians. It involves “sweating” in a steam room and being hit with birch twigs, then cooling yourself down in a lake or in the snow. Though it sounds extreme, when done properly “banya” is an unforgettable experience, both healthy and pleasant. “Banya” is also a word for a building where the procedure is done. We offer our guests authentic wooden banyas built in accordance to Russian traditions.

Fishing is available in Russia throughout the year, lakes and rivers of Karelia are full of different kinds of fish. You can come with your own fishrods and gear, or you can rent equipment with us. You can ask for a fishing guide as well – he will come with you on your fishing trip and give you valuable tips or teach you how to fish if necessary. Fishing can be a relaxing experience if you do it alone, or can become a interesting and fascinating pastime if you go with your friends.
